Description of the methods/ approach and/or theories used The project aims to foster inquiry-based science education (IBSE) to develop students’ inquiry, computational thinking, and collaboration skills. It addresses the lack of interest concerning STEM studies/careers through outputs focused on developing innovative educational approaches and learning material to increase students’ motivation in choosing STEM fields of study and/or profession. 8. Purpose/Aim The overarching aim of EL-STEM is to develop a new approach, which combines AR and MR technologies with Remote and/or Local Laboratories, for promoting secondary school students’ (aged 12-18) STEM engagement and learning. The project provides in-service DOCENTEs with an innovative Methodological Framework and related AR/MR Learning Resources that equip them with a wealth of practical experiences and methods of IBSE.
