To evaluate the tools we find on the Internet, we could use ready-made rubrics or prepare our own, with specific criteria that measure the extent to which: • the software is aligned the goals/standards of the curriculum (assessing the content we develop using the tool or the content that the tool already provides) • students engage and interact with the content/tool • participants interact with each other (e.g., especially if the tool is used for collaboration) • students use and/or build higher order thinking skills • assistance/support exists (e.g., documents, chats, links to external websites, additional material) within the tool • students’ progress can be tracked/monitored • activity reports are available
